Valerie is survived by her partner and best friend of 33 years David Spokes; her son Colin; two daughters: Julie Flint (CJ Scott) and Bev (Boyd) Nicholson; seven grandchildren: Amy, Kylee, Matthew, Sarah, Colin, Hayley and Bryan; one great-granddaughter Natalie; her family in England including her four brothers: Larry (Val), Paul (Jacqueline), Mark (Joanne) and Gary (Karen); two sisters: Lynn (Kevin) and Hazel as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
She was predeceased by her by her husbands’ Bryan and Christopher and her parents Lawrence and Ida Hobson.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, February 3, 2023 at 11:00 am from the Royal Canadian Legion, 4902 44 Avenue, Stony Plain with Pastor Gary McKellar officiating.
