

Wally was born in Meeziger Germany and came to Canada in 1954 with his parents and sister. He found work running Cats, digging basements and hauling equipment. In 1956 the family bought their first quarter of land and continued to grow the farm over the years. Wally also worked hauling gravel and asphalt in between busy seasons on the farm. He married Sharrie in 1984 with daughter Jody following along soon after. Wally farmed for 60 years in the Stony Plain area, retiring in 2016. In 2018 he was diagnosed with dementia and moved into Cloverleaf Manor in Warburg. In August of 2020 he was diagnosed with advanced pleural mesothelioma, and was moved into the hospice at Edmonton General where he passed.
Wally is survived by his daughter Jody (Jayme), grandsons Will and Theo, sister Elfi, nephews Lloyd and Alan.
He was predeceased by his parents Walter and Frieda Schulze, and his wife Sharrie Schulze.
A Celebration of Wally’s life will be held on Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. from Parkland Funeral Chapel, 3502 44 Avenue, Stony Plain with Pastor Gary McKellar officiating.
Due to Covid restrictions, attendance is limited to immediate family for the service but live-streaming will be available through www.ParklandFuneralServices.com or the "Join Livestream" link right before service is to begin.
