Edward Bova

Edward Bova, of Stony Point, NY, passed away unexpectedly on July 27, 2026. A beloved husband, father, brother and grandfather, he leaves behind his loving wife, Susan; son, Eddie (Carina) Bova; daughter, Deanna (Daniel) Brannigan; step-daughter, Helene (Joel) Herold; step-son, Michael (Cassy) Coyne, and his seven grandchildren. He also leaves behind his sister, Louise (Michael) Blake, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Edward was predeceased by his mother and father, Louis and Rose, and siblings, Diane Doyle and Peter Bova.

Edward was born in Brooklyn, NY in 1947. He earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from St. Francis College, and his master’s degree in marketing from St. John’s University. He then served in the U.S. Army from 1970-71. He had a successful career at Chrysler Corporation for over 35 years, retiring as a fleet sales manager of the New York office.

He was a dedicated parishioner of the Church of the Immaculate Conception, serving as a weekly usher for almost 40 years. His favorite pastimes included golfing, reading, and cooking. Above all else, he cherished spending quality time with his family, and will always be remembered for his wit and sense of humor. He will be dearly missed by his family, friends and golf buddies

Visitation will be held at Michael J. Higgins Funeral Service Inc., 73 North Liberty Drive, Stony Point, NY 10980, US, on July 31, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

A Funeral Service will be held at Immaculate Conception, 26 John St. Stony Point, NY, on August 1, 2026, from 10:00 am to 10:45 am.
