OBITUARY

Eleanor Blanche Babcock

Eleanor B. Babcock of Stony Point passed away peacefully with her family by her side on June 1, 2011 in her home.

Eleanor was born October 16, 1931 to Charles A. and Ruth (Neider) Ackerson in Ramsey New Jersey. Eleanor has been a Rockland resident for over 50 years and prior lived in Ramsey, NJ. She worked as an administrator for the Rose Memorial Library in Stony Point for 10 years and then managed the Marian Shrine Bookstore for the past 10 years. Eleanor will be remembered as a Beloved Mother, Cherished Grandmother and Adored Friend who lived life to the fullest.

Eleanor is survived by her children Jim Babcock and his wife Peggy of Ridgefield CT., Kenny Babcock of Suffern NY, Carol Zugibe and her husband Matt of Stony Point NY, her grandchildren Kenny Jr., Meghan, Anthony, Aubrey, Nicholas, Matthew, Catherine and Julia, her siblings Herb Ackerson of Campbell Hall NY and Dick Ackerson of New Jersey.

Eleanor was predeceased by her husband Edwin in 1997.

Friends may call Today 2-4 and 7-9pm at the Higgins Funeral Home Rt. 9W Stony Point, NY. A Mass of Christian burial will be offered Saturday 10am at Immaculate Conception Church Stony Point, NY. Entombment is to follow at George Washington Memorial Park Paramus, NJ.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Eleanor's name to Calvary Hospice 1740 Eastchester Road Bronx, New York 10461
