Genevieve M. White

Genevieve White, the essence of kindness, gentleness and graciousness peacefully passed on Saturday, August 18, 2012. Genevieve had an amazing capacity of genuine love, unlimited smiles, and a warmth that she generously showered upon everyone she met. Her extraordinary light continues to shine upon us all. Born in the Bronx on December 26, 1916, Genevieve lived most her life in the Bronx, and Rockland County.

She is survived by 6 daughters: Ann Metscher (Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.), Jeanne and Jim Rivera (Thiells, NY), Monica and Gary Moyer (Phoenixville, Pa), Patricia and Raymond Apicella (Thiells, NY), Mary and Al Corti (Dan Diego, Ca.), and Eileen and Steve Jones (Newburgh, NY), and their families, numbering 13 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

The family is receiving visitors at Michael J. Higgins Funeral Home, Stony Point on Monday, 8/20 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Funeral Mass to be held on Tuesday 8/21 at St. Gregory's Barbarigo Church, Cinder Rd., Garnerville, NY at 10 am, followed by burial service at Long Island National Cemetery, Farmingdale, NY. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the United Hospice of Rockland, 11 Stokum Lane New City, NY 10956.
