

Jonny was born in Manhattan on July 6th, 1995, to Alicia Ferreira and John Adamow. He was raised in Flushing, Queens, and moved to Stony Point, where he attended North Rockland High School. As a lover of the arts, Jonny acted in both their school’s drama club and off-Broadway theater. He was a talented percussionist, performing in his high school marching band. Always drawing and equipped with a sketchbook, Jonny attended Rockland Community College for fine arts.
Active and creative, Jonny enjoyed rollerblading, exploring nature, and creating music. As an avid artist, he had a great ability to spread light and kindness to everyone he met all over the world. Jonny will be remembered for their authenticity, compassion, love, and radiant energy, calling many places in the world their home. He spread light and joy everywhere he went and positively impacted all who crossed their path.
Jonny was a very loved member of the Renaissance Faire community, of which they were a part of since 2010. As a humanitarian, Jonny also served as a team leader for natural disaster relief and wanted the best for everyone. He was also a valued team leader of various trail crews throughout America, working in conservation and habitat restoration. He respected and adored the natural world and worked to preserve it.
Jonny is survived by his father, John Adamow; mother, Alicia Ferreira; siblings, Steph and Liza Adamow; and life partner, Mackenzie Lofrese; Grandparents, Apolinar and Carmen Ferreira, and Janina Adamow, as well as many loving uncles, aunts, cousins and family members. Jonny was a treasured member of a large and adoring family.
Services for Jonny will take place on Saturday, January 11th, 2025, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Michael J. Higgins Funeral Service, 73 N Liberty Dr, Stony Point, NY 10980.
Guests are encouraged to wear a pop of color in honor of Jonny’s love for all that is vibrant.
