Josephine Ferruzza

Josephine Ferruzza passed away at home June 3, 2011, with her husband, Paul by her side after a lengthy illness. She was born in Long Branch, NJ on July 30, 1931 to Viola and Joseph Pescatore. She has resided in Stony Point with her husband Paul of 45 years. Josephine was employed by the Pennysaver for many years and retired to be with her loving family. Josephine was a parishioner at St. Gregory Barbarigo Church in Garnerville, NY. She is survived by her husband Paul; daughter Laurie Anello-Vail and her husband Tom and their children Nicole and Jon (JP) Vail; son Angelo Anello of Miami, Florida and his children Thomas Anello, Valerie Selvati, and great-grandson, Josh. She is also survived by her brother Anthony Pescatore and sister-in-law, Claire; and predeceased by her sister Mildred Mancuso. She also had several nieces and nephews. Family and friends may call on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 at Higgins Funeral Home, Stony Point, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Gregory Barbarigo Church on Monday at 10am in Garnerville, NY. Interment will be at St. Peter’s Cemetery in Haverstraw, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to United Hospice of Rockland, 11 Stokum Lane, New City, NY 10956.
