Kevin Anthony Michella November 28th, 1957 - February 2nd, 2021
It is with profound sadness and disbelief that the family of Kevin Anthony Michella announce his passing on Tuesday, February 2nd at the age of 63.
Kevin will be lovingly remembered and missed by his wife of 3 years, Carol, his sons Danny (and his fiancé Christina), Brian, and Kyle (and his girlfriend Maddie), his brother Ralph (and his wife Karen), and his mother Nancy. Kevin is also survived by his step-children Amanda (and her husband Josh) and Timmy (and his fiancé Casey). Kevin was "Pop Pop" to his precious granddaughter, Thea. His “life is short” mantra and spirit of giving will be remembered and greatly missed by his family, friends, and community, both in Rockland County, New York down to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
Kevin was born on November 28th, 1957 in Suffern, New York. He attended North Rockland High School, where he met, and soon-after married, his wife Deirdre Michella, who left this earth in 2012. Kevin furthered his education at Iona College which allowed him to grow his 30+ year career as a Shipping and Receiving Manager at Pfizer Corporation in Pearl River, New York. When not at work, you could find Kevin on the golf course, supporting his boys on the sports field, or enjoying a drink with friends at the Haverstraw Elks Club. Kevin retired from Pfizer in 2016 and headed down to Myrtle Beach to enjoy retirement and relaxation with Carol and their two dogs, Callie and Lucy. Kevin could always be found grilling and mixing drinks for his family and friends, who he frequently hosted at their Carolina Forest home.
Kevin has touched the lives of so many with his generosity and kindness. He always made newfound friends immediately feel like family. Kevin’s unconditional love for his family, extended family, and friends was truly unmatched. He will be greatly missed but always held in the hearts of those left behind. Until we meet again.
Kevin will be waked, and his life will be safely celebrated, at Higgins Funeral Home in Stony Point, New York on Friday, February 12th from 2:00-6:00PM. For those unable to attend, please send online condolences in the links below. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.

I always looked forward to seeing Kevin at the Burlew BBQ's in Rockland. He was someone I always enjoyed laughing with. My favorite memories that will always make me smile are the cornhole matches at the Burlew Cornhole Stadium... Many laughs and great times had competing against Kevin. So long my friend may you rest in peace.

We were shocked and saddened to hear of Kevin’s passing. We have known him for years and we were so happy for him as he started a new chapter in his life in SC. I am sorry that I didn’t get a chance to visit him in his new home since we live not too far away in NC.
Please know that you are all in our thoughts and prayers. May Kevin Rest In Peace. With our sincere condolences, Diane (Frasco) Serbetzian and Jean (Frasco) Facciolla

I’ve known Kevin for over 25 years, he’s a great caring friend and coworker. I’ll miss the calls since we’ve been retired, the updates on Carol, the boys and grandkids.
I’m disappointed I never got to visit at the new house in South Carolina for golf, a cigar and a drink.
God bless my friend

I am deeply sorry and equally as shocked to read about Kevin’s sudden passing. I was his dental hygienist for the past 25yrs until my boss’s passing a couple of years ago- Dr. Charles Reilly. I saw Kevin every few months for all those years and he was always so sweet and generous. Every Christmas he would always bring gifts for myself and the rest of the office. We would share stories about our boys(we both had 3 boys) and in the last years I treated him he would tell me how excited he was to be retiring and moving to Myrtle Beach. I’m so sorry that his retirement with Carol was cut short and my heart breaks for his three boys who have lost another parent so early in life😢

It is with great sadness that this is being written. Kevin grew up on Easton Street
And was always smiling and happy . We shared many Lacrosse games traveling all over to watch Kyle♥️And our grandsons play.for hours. I can't begin to describe the feeling of loss that Kevin's passing brings. Our reunited time together was just beginning. Mandy and I enjoyed the times we spent with Kevin and Carol who made us feel so welcomed to SC. Kevin's generosity was unmatched as was his love for family. He leaves behind a legacy that is hard to match. Our condolences go out to Carol, his sons, mom, and his large extended family.

So very sadden by the unexpected and sudden loss of our dear friend Kevin. From the very first time we met Kevin and his lovely wife Carol, they welcomed us into their Myrtle Beach home and it felt as if we had know them for years! Kevin always had kind words and a spirit of hospitality that shadowed all others. As Carol would say, "he always has to do it bigger!" We will always remember his delicious meals, jokes about Carol's inability to cook but mostly, we will remember his laughter! He always loved and he always laughed!
