Lawrence Joseph DePaolis passed away on March 3, 2011 at Nyack Hospital. He was a retired NYPD Detective and US Army Veteran. Larry was born on September 26, 1940 in NYC. He moved to Stony Point in 1966. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Paula Ann (Sassano) DePaolis; his four children and their spouses Michael and Jeanine, Robert and Elizabeth, Thomas and Kelly, Mary Ann and Victor Protasiewicz; his 9 loving grandchildren Michael, Alexa, Matthew, Jessica, Gianna, Andrew, Ava, Annalee and Victor; his brothers Geraid and John; and many nieces, nephews and friends. Lawrence was loved and will be missed by many. Viewing will be held on Saturday and Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 at Higgins Funeral Home in Stony Point, NY. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday at 11:30 at Our Lady Queen of Peace Chapel in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Valhalla, NY. Entombment will follow.
