Mary A. Ercole

Mary A. (Biamonte) Ercole passed away peacefully June 19, 2020 in New City, New York. Mary was born on September 15, 1925 in Jones Point, NY to Mary Frances (Pongitore) and Luigi Biamonte. During World War II she was employed at Bear Mountain Inn. Later she enjoyed many years at Avon Products until she retired. She was loved by all who knew her with her wonderful laugh, delightful sense of humor and her love of music and song. Mary is predeceased by her parents, her former husband Anthony Ercole, and her five siblings, sisters, Rose Brooks, Phyllis Ryder, Lena Porry, Ann Chiarella and brother Thomas Biamonte. Mary is also predeceased by her son-in-law Theodore Preizler. She leaves behind her loving family including daughter Nancy Preizler of Southbury, CT, her son Christopher (Teresa) Ercole of Penfield, son Paul (Katrina) Ercole of Camillus and son John Plocic of Wheelock, VT. Her grandchildren include Jennifer, Ryan (Christine), Jaclyn (Eric), Scott (Danielle), Brendan, Michael C., William, Michael P., Jacob, Sky and Terra. Mary is also survived by great-grandchildren Jakob, Cassandra, Cole, Nathaniel, Noah, Colton, Aspen and Scarlett. Mary’s family would like to extend sincere appreciation for the care and compassion she received from the staff at Friedwald Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, especially the members of the Third Floor Care Team. Friends may call at Michael J. Higgins Funeral Home, 73 North Liberty Drive, Stony Point, New York on June 25th, 2020 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM. Internment is at St. Peter’s Cemetery, Haverstraw, New York. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Diabetes or Alzheimer’s Associations.
