Kathy, sorry my message is so late.  I was in Australia when Murphy passed.  Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers.  Just today I was talking to Steve Kaiser today and he also sends his condolences. Lots of love.

Mr Murphy was always there to support me and add a joke. His "hearty" laugh will never be forgotten!  May this time bring you as a family closer in knowing that he was loved, and will be missed.  My sincere condolences to the Murphy and Phillips Families. Thanks Mr. Murph!

It was very sad to hear about his passing but reading all these beautiful comments about him puts a smile on my face (& I hope yours too) He was a such a great man and his mark on North Rockland will live on forever!! Many prayers go out to you and your family.

To the Murphy Family:  I can remember your dad living on the 3rd Floor with Pete Warner..if I could find the pictures of him, in his young age, practing golf at my Dad's gas station, I will send same.  We have also lost a husband, father, grandfather recently and feel your pain...He was a wonderful person who alot in the North Rockland Community will never forget...the Ann Larkin Miller Family and Daniel Harm Jr. Family!!

Murph was a good man. Always willing to help out when needed. Especially when it involved the youth. I personally will always remember all the good advice you gave me weather it was about life, C.Y.O., or Politics.... Even if I didn't follow it all.... You will be missed alot ... Rest in Peace....

It is so sad to hear about Coach Murphy's passing.  What a wonderful teacher, coach and person.  I was in his science class in the early 80's and was also a member if the girls softball team.  He often chatted with me about our season and offered words of encouragement.  There are not many people who leave such an impression, even all these years later, but Coach did!

Sorry to hear for his passing. What an amazing teacher, and person. he will be truly missed.

My condolences go out to the Murphy family on Bob's passing. He helped me immensely as a mentor in both teaching and coaching. I enjoyed seeing him at the state level meets.  I miss him already !

My deepest sympathies. Coach Murph was my track coach. I had a very good day at the county championship meet in 1980. For the next 30 years, every time I saw him, he re-told the story. (he was a client of mine so I saw him often) He did it because it gave him a chance to tease me a little, and because it always made us both smile. He had such a generous spirit.  I will miss him dearly.

[Coach] "Big" Murph was instrumental in my ability to attend college.  I never had him as a classroom teacher; knew him through the North Rockland track team, yet he sponsored me for an academic scholarship.  I've been forever grateful for his faith in me.  Pay it forward as the saying goes...Big Murph did just that.  My condolences to his family.
