

He married the love of his life, Ann (Loblanco) in 1962. Better known as Jake, Walter was a volunteer fireman for 55 years in Wayne Hose Co., Stony Point, serving as Fire Chief 1984 - 1985. Jake was an avid baseball player & golfer. He thoroughly enjoyed watching old cowboy movies and Yankees & Giants games.
Jake is survived by his loving wife, Ann (Babe) of 59 years, his sister Patti Starr, two daughters Cheryl Lubanty, Christine (& Chris) Campione and three grandchildren Jennifer, Nicholas and Bianna and 4 generations of nieces & nephews.
He was predeceased by his loving son Walter Jr, and brother Tom Lubanty. He loved spending time with his family and friends, always telling jokes or a great story. He will surely be missed by all who knew him.
Family will receive friends from 2:00pm -6:00pm at Higgins Funeral Home in Stony Point. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday 08/09/21, 10am at Immaculate Conception Church, Stony Point, followed by a burial at Brick Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Wayne Hose Fire Company, or Immaculate Conception Food Pantry, Stony Point.
