Born in Elyria, Ohio, Mrs. Berg had previously lived in Ashtabula, OH before relocating to the Stuart area 36 years ago.
She was instrumental in founding the first school for the mentally challenged, Happy Hearts in Ashtabula, Ohio. Furthering her dedication to the school, Mrs. Berg drove a school bus for Happy Hearts for seventeen years. She also volunteered for the Martin Memorial Medical Center for many years, and was an avid bridge player.
She was of Lutheran faith.

Mrs. Berg is survived by her daughter, Christine Hibbs of Stuart, FL; two grandchildren, Michael, and David; one great grandchild, Taylor; sister, Claire Ehrman of Atlanta, GA, and her nieces, and nephews.
