

Alice Law Rose, 100 years old, long time Stuart resident, died December 11, 2010 at her home, The Place of Stuart. Mrs. Rose was born May 16, 1910 in Weston, Illinois, and had lived in Rockford, Illinois before moving to Florida thirty-five years ago.
Mrs. Rose graduated from Ward Belmont Nashville, TN, and Illinois Wesleyan University, Bloomington, Illinois. Prior to her marriage, Mrs. Rose was a high school teacher in Fairbury, IL.
Mrs. Rose was predeceased in death by her husband of 62 years, James E. (Gene) Rose, parents Dr. Edward F. Law, and Lucy H. Law and twin, Dr. Otis H. Law.
She is survived by children, Edward (Charlotte) Nipomo, CA; James Jr. (Mary Ann) Palm Coast, FL; William (Kathy) Minneapolis, MN; six grandchildren, and seven great- grandchildren. Mrs. Rose is also survived by her sister-in-law of 71 years, Sue Law of Ohio.
A memorial service will be held on January 16, at 2:00 PM at The Place, in Stuart, Florida.
