Andrew Shaw Hall

Andrew Shaw Hall, 38, passed away peacefully on July 25, 2026 after a courageous battle with cancer. Though his earthly body lost the battle, it never broke his spirit, and we will forever be grateful for his strength, endurance, and hope. While we deeply grieve his loss so young, we take comfort in knowing he is home with Jesus and healed now.

Andrew was born in Pickerington, OH on May 7, 1988. Some of his fondest memories of his time in Ohio were competing on the swim team with his brother, falling in love with The Ohio State Buckeyes football, and playing with neighborhood friends outside. His family relocated to Palm City, FL in 1999, where he discovered his love for fishing and all things on the ocean. Andrew was involved in many activities in the local community, including being a captain of the Martin County High School band, rowing for the Treasure Coast Rowing Club, and just about any sport he could try. Andrew graduated from University of North Florida, where he studied chemistry and English. He especially loved getting to play for his college hockey league.

After graduating from college in 2011, Andrew took a job doing day work on a boat and quickly discovered his vocational calling in the yachting industry. His hard work ethic, driven personality, and genuine concern for his clients made him a perfect fit for the job. He moved to a land-based job at Hinckley Yachts in 2017 to be closer to family, where he worked until 2023. He transitioned back to the water as a captain from 2023 until his diagnosis in 2025. Andrew especially loved the people he worked with during his years in the yachting industry. Throughout his battle with cancer, he continued driving and fixing boats for clients, which brought him incredible joy. His last boat delivery was a memorable one, as he got to make the crossing from the Bahamas to Florida with his wife and oldest daughter--something he’d been wanting to do for years.

The highlight of Andrew’s life was being a husband and father. In 2014, he met the love of his life, Erica, while fishing on a friend’s boat. They began dating in 2016 and married in 2017. They were blessed with their first daughter Marley Jeanne in 2021. Upon her diagnosis with a rare genetic disease called Cystinosis, Andrew threw himself into her care. He and Erica worked tirelessly to navigate the many complexities of the disease, and his detailed research and ideas will serve Marley for years to come. He deeply desired to see a cure become available for Cystinosis and was excitedly tracking a new clinical trial for the disease. In 2023, they welcomed Julie Shaw into the world, who quickly brought more light, life, and energy. Andrew adored his girls and loved and cared for them with so much affection. He also loved Erica dearly, and their marriage was one of unity, tenderness, and deep connection.

Andrew’s faith was a pillar of strength, especially as he navigated his cancer diagnosis. He desired that his battle would show others the strength and goodness of God. He was an encouragement to so many.

Andrew is survived by his wife Erica, and his daughters Marley and Julie. He is also survived by his mother Robin, brother Richard, sister-in-law Sasha, and nieces Riley and Scarlet. In addition, he shared a close connection to his in-laws and is survived by his father-in-law Chuck; mother-in-law Jen; brothers-in-law Garrett, Jacob, and Luke; sisters-in-law Rachel, Allison, and Jessica; and niece and nephews Reagan, Joshua, and Grady. He was preceded in death by his beloved father Richard.

A celebration of life will be held this Saturday, August 1, 2026, at 5 PM at Covenant Fellowship Baptist Church in Stuart, 2880 SE Aster Ln, Stuart, FL 34994.
