He is survived by his wife Gail of 62 years in September, Daughters Joann (Robert) in Vero Beach, FL and Hartsdale, NY, Suzanne in Stuart, FL and son Anthony (Regina) in Demorest, GA and grandchildren Matthew Williams (Kaylee), Michael Williams (Amanda), Yuuki Maturo & Lilley Gallagher along with 5 great-grandchildren, Lucas, Judy, Kalvin, Maverick and Mason.
Anthony, known as Tony to most, was born in the Sunset Park area of Brooklyn, NY on July 22, 1941 to the late Pasquale and Anna Maturo. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers C. George Maturo and Pasquale Maturo Jr.
Tony was a Machinist for Tangent Machine Tool & Die in Farmingdale, NY for 30 years and then pursued a dream to own a farm and raised chickens for 30 years in Federalsburg, MD. After retirement he and his wife moved to Stuart, FL. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Idlewild Ruritans. He was an avid NY Giants, NY Mets and NY Rangers fan.
The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on Sunday August 9, 2026, from 3-6 PM at Aycock Funeral Home at 950 NE Jensen Beach Blvd, Jensen Beach, FL 34957. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Fr. Noel McGrath, officiating at 10 AM on Monday August 10. Interment will be at a later date at Fernhill Memorial Gardens in Stuart, FL.
