Born in Havana, Cuba, Mr. Lopez had previously lived in New Jersey before relocating to Hobe Sound seventeen years ago.
He was a frameman in the tele-communications business and had worked for Verizon in South New Jersey for thirty years.
Mr. Lopez was a member of St. Christopher Catholic Church in Hobe Sound, Florida.
He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Anna Lopez of Hobe Sound, Florida; mother, Sara Lopez of Hobe Sound, Florida; niece, Andrea, Hobe Sound, Florida, and several other nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, May 26, 2012, at 12:00 noon at St. Christopher Catholic Church in Hobe Sound.
