She was born in Dresden, Germany, and came to the U.S. in 1970. She lived in New Jersey for 20 years, where she acquired U.S. citizenship. She and her husband moved to Hobe Sound in 1990.
She studied medicine for two years at the University of Bonn; thereafter Physical Therapy. She became Director of Physical Therapy at the Toms River Community Hospital where she remained for 13 years.
She and her husband were avid sailors, spending several years sailing the waters of the Bahamas and the U.S. east coast. Subsequently, she became an active member of the Buttonwood Tennis Club enjoying active hours of tennis.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Max Visser, her brother, Rolf Mueller of Konigswinter, Germany, her sister Christa Esefeld of Cologne, Germany and stepchildren Lesley and Chris Visser.
