Betty was born in Boston, MA and moved to Stuart in 1957 coming from Jacksonville, FL.
She was a Foster Parent, enjoyed needle work and received many ribbons for her work.
She was predeceased by her husband of 50 years Harry Merklinger, son Gerald James Merklinger and son Ronald Raymond Merklinger.
Survivors include daughter Lela Sulzer, 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Friends may gather on Tuesday, November 16, 2010 at 10:00AM to 12:00 Noon. Service will be at 12:00 Noon at Aycock Funeral Home, Stuart, FL. Interment will follow at Fernhill Memorial Gardens, Stuart, FL.
