

She is survived by her husband George Barker, Jr., of Stuart, Florida
and her two daughters Melanie Stewart (Morris) and Amy Ritscher (Morris) both from Poulsbo, Washington.
She was predeceased by her parents Carl and Emily Strandberg of Stuart, Florida and her second husband Walter F. Davey, MD.
Beverly was born in Plainfield, NJ, on September 19, 1931. She graduated from Rutger's New Jersey College for Women with a degree in Bacteriology. She was employed as a research scientist
by Dupont Corporation - Stine Lab,. Newark, Delaware. In 1954 she met and married Donald E. Morris of Wilmington, Delaware. From there they moved to Kailua, Hawaii where she had her two daughters, Melanie and Amy Morris. In 1975 she moved to Stuart, Florida, where she was employed by Martin Memorial Hospital. She met and married Walter F. Davey, M.D. in 1981 until he passed away. In 1992 she married George Barker, Jr. with whom she shared her final years. They resided in Stuart Yacht and Country Club, traveled the world, played golf, dominoes, enjoyed solving puzzles and loved painting and art. Beverly had a passion for gardeninhg and was a member of Periwinkle Circle for many years. Another thing she so enjoyed was playing bridge with
her girlfriends and was, without a doubt, a fierce opponent.
She was invloved with Friends of Hospice (Treasure Coast Hospice) and was one of the Founding Presidents, serving as such from 1992-1994. Her fundraising efforts resulted in the construction of the Hay-Madeira and Harper Houses of Stuart, where she eventually passed away.
Beverly's family gratefully acknowledges the compassionate care she receiveede at Martin Memorial Hospital and Treasure Coast Hospice House.
