Chuck the Baker,
Chuck a fine human being and a true gentleman
We spent countless hours together but it seems now, not enough
Chuck made the world a better place and his legacy will
carry forward
Chuck was a true friend and I learned a lot from him
He will be missed
I told him during his last days to be sure and take his fritter recipe
on his journey as I would be calling on him for a few in the future
Chuck-Rest in Peace

Chuck was one of the best pastry chefs I ever had the privilege to know. He was the kindest person with an enormous heart. He was the best Roaring Gap ever had.. RIP Chuck, you were a true gentleman

Chuck was a great guy and an amazingly talented pastry chef.
Chuck was for several years, while working at the Roaring Gap Club the first person I would see on a daily basis. I will always remember that big smile and roaring laughter.
Rest in peace buddy.

Our family adored Chuck and his fritters. Chuck can now bake his yummy fritters with many members of my family and many members of other Roaring Gap families who he is joining. So very sorry for Chuck’s family with his early loss. We all have much to be thankful for, and I am so thankful to have known Chuck. He was a special person with very special gifts!
My warmest regards to his family,
Nan Crawford

Simply seeing Chuck would brighten your day. His jovial character spread as much joy as his culinary talents.

My thoughts and prayers are with your family. I’m certain many Roaring Gap members awoke early on the Saturday morning the annual meeting was held to make sure they enjoyed a piping hot apple fritter. Or sneaked over to the Chefs Cupboard early mornings for the same treat. It was the treat I always placed in my guests’ rooms as a symbol of everything wonderful about Roaring Gap. Thank you for sharing him with us!
