

Born in Roanoke Rapids, NC, Van had previously lived in Lake Worth, FL before relocating to the Stuart area in 1999.
Van was a Journeyman Electrician who worked throughout the United States. Eventually he went into the Postal Service and worked as an electrician in the Maintenance Department until his retirement. He was an avid golfer and was of the Baptist faith.
Van was a Veteran of the United States Army.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Constance; sons, Kenneth and Walter; four grandchildren; brother, Wayne Jordan (Claudia); stepmother, Onie Jordan; aunt, Jeanette Hornbuckle; uncle, Bob Taylor, and numerous nephews and cousins.
Van was predeceased by his mother, Lucy and his father, Walter.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Fernhill Memorial Gardens in Stuart, FL.
Memorial Contributions may be made in his honor to Treasure Coast Hospice at 1201 SE Indian Street, Stuart, FL 34994.
