Debbie was preceded in death by her mother, Doris Vinkermulder Van Tuinen.
She is survived by her loving husband of 25 years, Earl Cooper; father, Kenneth Van Tuinen; brothers, Jim Van Tuinen, Thom Van Tuinen, and his wife, Lori, and Keith Van Tuinen; and many other family members and friends.
Debbie graduated from FSU with a bachelor’s degree in Music Therapy. She was a teacher in Martin County for 30 years and retired in 2003. She enjoyed tennis, playing piano, collecting dolls, serving others and her community, and spending time with her family and church family.
Visitation will be held 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, February 22, at Aycock Funeral Home, 505 South Federal Hwy, Stuart, FL 34994.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 am Thursday, February 23, at Tropical Farms Baptist Church, 1555 SW Kanner Hwy, Stuart, FL 34997. Interment will follow at Fernhill Memorial Gardens in Stuart, FL.
