Earnest A Smith

Brother Ernest A. Smith was born February 24, 1942 to the late James and Louise Smith in Putnam County Fl. He humbly transitioned from earth to glory at his home in Hobe Sound Fl. on the peaceful Saturday evening of May 23, 2020.

He attended the public schools of Putnam County and graduated from Central Academy High School, Palatka Fl. He later met and married Grace Evelyn Guthrie, and to the union seven children were born of which 2 preceded him in death. Ernest was self-employed on Jupiter Island until retirement.

Daughters; Crystal Smith Dames, Gail Horner both of Port St. Lucie, Germain Moore of Hobe Sound, Angelia MaCaskill (Scott) of Miami, and Casonia Smith-King (Jeffrey)of Palm Springs, FL. Two sons; Dwight Burton (Jackie) of Port Salerno and Ernest Smith of Hobe Sound Fl. Twenty grandchildren; Eddie, Eric & Eddrick Jones, LaChristie Dames Rosier & Keith Dames Jr, Brittany & Amber Jackson, Brandon and Brandie Moore, Dejuan, Mariyah, Mia and Ernest Smith, Whitney & Dewanna Burton, Dan, Timothy & Ben, Amadeus & Kamran MaCaskill. Twenty great grands.

Siblings; Minnie R. Lumpkin, Barbara Mitchell, Margaret Smith, Martha Jones (Willie), Mary Smith, Doris Lewis (Tommy), James Smith (Ann) and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. In-laws; Carolyn Guthrie, Cora Hatcher, Mary Dubois, Anthony, Roland & Wilson Guthrie.

Ernest was preceded in death by his mother and father; Louise & James Smith, Wife; Grace Evelyn Smith, a Daughter; Ernestine Fowler, a Son; Alvin Smith, Sisters; Bessie Middleton & Annie Pearl Smith, Brothers; Isaac, Henry & Charles Smith, Mother and Father in-law Bertha & Wilson Guthrie.
