Born in Virden, IL, Mr. Vance had previously lived in Atlanta, Georgia before relocating to the Stuart area in 1984.
Mr. Vance was an aeronautical engineer having worked for Pratt Whitney for 17 years, and prior to retirement, Belcan Engineering.
He was a member of Community Baptist Church in Stuart, FL.
Mr. Vance is survived by his wife of 55 years, Deloris Vance of Stuart, FL; daughter, Cathryn Noe (Paul); son, Tomas Vance (Susan); son, H. Andrew Vance (Lynn) and daughter, Deirdre Vance Taylor (Brian); seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his son, Edward J. “Jim” Vance.
