Emma was born January 23, 1926, in Sussex, NJ, the daughter of the late John W. and Ida E. (Lott) Arnott. The family moved to Newton, NJ, where she grew up and later met her first husband, Joseph Trinca, Jr. She and Joseph made their home in Swartswood, NJ, for many years. Traveling to St Augustine, Fl, during the winter months, they grew to love Florida, and eventually moved to St. Augustine in the late 1950’s. After a particularly cold winter (with snow) in St. Augustine, they decided to move farther south. As Joe said, “We didn't move to Florida to see snow.”.
Their southward trek ended in Palm City, Florida in 1960. There Emma and Joe found the Florida they had dreamed of: palm trees, oranges, fishing off the dock in the front yard, warm weather, and no snow. Unfortunately, Joseph passed away in 1979.
A few years later, Emma met and married Otto “Herman” Krause. Emma and Herman had many happy years together. They had a camper and traveled all over the United States. They also loved to square dance and even taught classes. For the last several years they have stayed close to their home in Palm City, near their family.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Otto "Herman" Krause of Palm City; her son, Joseph Trinca III and his wife Karen of Palm City; her daughter, Joann Gregg and husband Darrell of Jensen Beach; her granddaughter, Michelle Fielstra and her husband Toby; her grandson, Michael Lambie; her great granddaughters, Hayley Fielstra and Michale Lambie, and her great grandson, Hayden Lambie.
She was always ready with a smile, an encouraging word, or a helping hand. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Emma was a sweet and caring woman loved by many.
