Born in New Haven, Connecticut, Mr. Martel previously lived in West Haven, Connecticut, before relocating to Hobe Sound, Florida.
He was a service clerk for Sears and Roebuck, and Mr. Martel also previously worked for the Mcdonalds Corporation in Hamden, Connecticut, as well as Cumberland Farms in Stuart, Florida.
Mr. Martel is survived by his brother, Maurice Martel and his wife, Jeanette of Northford, Connecticut; sister, Laura Fanning of Madison, Connecticut; sister, Jane Lyden of New Haven, Connecticut, and special friends, Ron Nicholas and Edith Brabson, both Hobe Sound, FL.
Services will held at a later date in Connecticut, with inurnment taking place at St. Lawrence Cemetery in West Haven, Connecticut.
