

George H. Beehler, 83, of Tequesta, passed away March 2, 2015 at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, FL. Born October 18, 1931 in Mishawaka, Indiana, he was a long-time resident of Elkhart, Indiana. He and two partners opened BABSCO, an electrical supply company for the RV industry. He and Patricia McClary married on September 13, 1985. They moved to Florida in 1986, fulfilling his lifelong dream. He was a member of the United Methodist Church and attended First United Methodist Church in Hobe Sound, FL. He was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict and was awarded the United Nations Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Korean Service Ribbon with two Bronze Stars, and Republic of Korea Presidential Unit Citation. He was a member of the American Legion Post 0271 of Tequesta. He was also a member of the Elks Club. Survivors include his wife, Patricia Lou Beehler (formerly Patricia McClary), son, Jeff Beehler, his wife, Teresa and their son, Spencer George Beehler; daughter, Cindy (Beehler) Caillouette, her husband, Paul and their children, Kevin, Tina, Crystal and her daughter Lacie; step-daughter, Debbie Nolen and her son, Sam Nolen; step-son, Dan McClary and his wife, Jenny and their children, Anne, Chelsea Heffentrager, Josiah, Geoffrey and Sean; and sister-in-law, Virginia Beehler. George was preceded in death by brother, Vern Beehler, and sister, Norma (Beehler) Silvers, who was married to Charles “Bud” Silvers, also deceased. Memorial Services will be, Sunday, March 8 at 2:00 PM at First United Methodist Church; 10100 SE Federal Highway, Hobe Sound, FL 33455, Phone (772) 546-3303 In Lieu of Flowers, Memorial Gifts in Honor of George may be sent to the church. The church will receive gifts and set up a George Beehler Fund to help with ministries. For those who feel comfortable doing so, flip-flops may be worn to the service as a fun way of honoring George, who wore his flip-flops everywhere, even in the snow.
