

He was of the Catholic Faith.
He was born November 28, 1923 in New York City to George J. Sr. and Violet McCrain.
He served in the Navy in World War II earning the Bronze Star at Iwojima then later attached to the Marines as a medic in the Korean War. After his return, he worked for the Borden’s Company as a sales rep in Manhattan. He later moved to Jensen Beach and was the owner/operator The Sun & Palms Cottages. He volunteered for services with the American Red Cross, Martin Memorial and Meals on Wheels.
As well as serving his country and community, he was a loving father and grandfather.
He is predeceased by his sister, Kathryn Rafferty.
He is survived by his children Michelle, Patricia and Stephen George McCrain, grandchildren Nicholas Begley, Kristopher McCrain, Dar Little and his great grandchildren Camryn and Reese Begley.
A memorial service will be at Aycock Funeral Home at the Stuart Chapel on Thursday, August 7th at 3:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to the Alzheimer Association.
