It is with a heavy heart that I announce the passing of my father. This will be short and sweet, but I want to begin by sharing how amazing of a father he was and what a truly great human being he was. Everyone who met him would always talk about how kind he was.
Even toward the end, when the horrible disease of Alzheimer’s/dementia can make people become agitated and aggressive, he remained calm and gentle. He may not have been a social butterfly like my mother, but he always found a way to make people laugh with his quick comebacks and his sneaky-good dad jokes.
You were an inspiration to me my entire life, and I look forward to passing that on to your two beautiful grandchildren. I will forever be grateful that you were able to meet Capri before you left us to join Mom in paradise.
You are no longer suffering and are now in a better place. As said in one of your favorite movies, “The Dude abides.”
I love you, Dad. You may be gone, but you will never be forgotten. Rest easy—I will think of you every time I crack open a Coors Light. Cheers 🍻
