James was born in Hoffman Estates, Illinois on October 31, 1989 and grew up in Hobe Sound Florida. James proudly joined the Navy when he was 17 and was a proud Navy Veteran.
James was also a local Hobe Sound HVAC business owner of True Quality Air, Inc. The company was started with his Stepfather Eugene Schickel and Mother Rebecca Schickel.
James was a loving husband, father, son, brother, and amazing friend to everyone that knew him.
He is survived by his loving wife Laurie Phillips; children Abigail and Denver Phillips; mother Rebecca Schickel; father Ronald Phillips; Stepfather Eugene Schickel; brother Curt Phillips; sister Candice Schickel; and, grandparents James Phillips I and Laverne Phillips.
A service will be held on August 22, 2026 at 2 George's Restaurant, 4290 SE Salerno Rd, Stuart, FL 34997, from 5pm-9pm.
