Her father worked for the Ford Motor Company, and true to her roots, she drove only Fords throughout her life.
Janice attended the University of Michigan and remained a devoted fan of the Maize and Blue long after graduation. Soon after completing her bachelors, she received her MBA from Northwestern University.
After moving to San Francisco, she met her future husband on a double date—while they were actually paired with the other person. They married in 1985 and soon settled in Marin County . Janice's love for decorating and remodeling led to several successful house projects. Family life was always her top priority welcoming two sons in 1991 and 1993.
In 1993, the family moved into a 1937 home in the Country Club neighborhood of San Rafael, where they would live for the next 24 years. Janice saw the potential of the large, old home, and with her impeccable eye for design, transformed the house into something out of a catalog, even appearing in a local carpet commercial. Her proudest project was the kitchen, which she helped design and where she prepared countless meals, from school-night dinners to festive Thanksgiving feasts, always with love and care.
Born on Independence Day, Janice always received fireworks on her birthday.
She also made Christmas especially magical, decorating the house with two well festooned trees inside and bright lights outside for the neighborhood to enjoy. She was a thoughtful gift giver and delighted in surprising her sons with their favorite toys.
She always made sure her sons had the best when it came to education, medical treatment, and opportunities in life.
Janice was an excellent conversationalist with a deep vocabulary, who could form a genuine connection with a stranger within moments of meeting them.
She loved animals, especially poodles, having many well cared for dogs throughout the years.
Most of all she loved her three boys, and preferred to spend time with them over anything.
She passed away on August 27th 2025 peacefully in her home in Stuart Florida.
My mom will be forever loved and remembered
