Joan Mary Davis, 78, of Hobe Sound, FL passed away September 30, 2014 at her home. Born in Brooklyn, NY, she has resided in Hobe Sound since 1996, coming from Southold, NY. Joan retired as Quality Assurance Risk Management Director for Eastern Long Island Hospital in Greenport, NY. She had been a registered Nurse and earned her nursing degree from Flushing Hospital and Dispensary and a Bachelor’s degree from Boston University. Joan was a member of St. Christopher Catholic Church in Hobe Sound and Lost Lake Golf Club, Hobe Sound; former member of North Fork Country Club in Mattituck, NY and Islands End Golf Club in Greenport, NY. Survivors include nine nephews and four nieces. She was preceded in death by her husband, James A. Davis; brother, Robert John Clemens and Sister, Dianna Barbara Clemens.
