Joann was born in Springfield, Massachusetts on March 27th, 1936 to Joseph and Catherine Hrapkowski. She married the love of her life, Major Raymond R. Chappell Jr. on October 15, 1955.
Joann is survived by her loving husband Raymond and their five children; Thomas, Catherine, Timothy (and his wife Terri), Caren (her husband Jeff) and Crissa-Jean. Grandchildren are Dianna, Katie, Nicholas, Austin, Corin (and her husband Joshua), Corie, Cassandra, Raymond Thomas, and Christy-Ann.
