We have been friends for over 40 years and have spent countless hours together doing what we do. I’m gonna miss you, buddy. You are the greatest. Your legacy lives on in so many people especially in Jenny, your boys, your grand babies and everybody else that loved you,  REST IN PEACE MY FRIEND.

Apologies for being out of the country and unable to pay our condolecenses in person. Joe was the best mentor, officer, firefighter, and friend - always willing to share his knowledge and experience with others. The world is a better place because Joe was in it.

There are no words big enough to hold the grief we all feel right now. Losing our dear freind Joe doesn’t feel real and maybe it never fully will.  He was not just a friend or my next door neighbor, he was family.  Joe was the kind of person who left a mark just by being who he was very humble but we all knew deep down he was a F-ING Legend !!

Some of my favorite memories will always be those nights around the fire pit telling stories, smoking cigars, drinking Miller Lites, Listening to Irish music and laughing like we had all the time in the world. Those moments meant more than any of us probably ever said out loud.

Joe had a way of making people feel seen and heard. He brought wisdom, light, humor, and heart into every room and I’ll carry that with me for the rest of my life.

Rest easy, my friend. You’ll never be forgotten, Till we meet again, I will bring the Cigars and the Beers.  

We will always keep watch over Jenny and be there for her.

It is with deep sadness that I hear of Joe's passing. I knew Joe through FEMA and teaching, and he was a true compadre, friend, mentor, and will surely be missed. I will his cigar smoke and Miller lites everytime we were in his pickup! Godspeed my Friend...
