

Juan was born in Havana, Cuba, and immigrated to the United States in 1962.
He is survived by his wife, Denise Margaret nee Eisele and his three children, Xavier (Nanee), Gustavo (Joan) and Vivian (George) Perez. In addition he is also survived by seven grandchildren, Sebastian and Camille (Xavier), Marco, Marie and Liam (Gustavo) and William and Melissa (Vivian).
He was the son of the late Magdalena Neyor and the late Clemente Felipe. He was very proud of his United States Citizenship however he cherished the memory of the country of his birth, Cuba. There were friendships that were formed there that remained with him for his entire life.
Prior to his arrival in the United States he had been a student at the University of Havana pursuing a degree in chemical engineering. Upon his arrival in the United States he began working for the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants in Manhattan. He was offered an entry position in the data processing department. He attended NYU in order to learn the new science of computer technology which was in its rudimentary stages. Within a brief period of time he became the senior systems analyst and programmer for the AICPA. He continued to work in the same field while expanding his programming skills which culminated in his being responsible for the conversions in data processing prior to the complicated formatting for the millennium (Y2K) programming transition in the year 2000. He remained dedicated to his profession for more than forty years before retiring and relocating to Florida in 2003.
He enjoyed playing the guitar and singing. He had a complete repertoire of both Spanish and English songs which he enjoyed sharing with family and friends. He was also an accomplished artist and painter. He and his wife traveled extensively after their retirement and they created many beautiful memories together in their years together.
