

Judy was born on May 29, 1943, in Dayton Ohio, the daughter of Herbert and Edna Lanning who preceded her in death. Judy moved to Florida at age five and grew up in Fort Lauderdale, Fl along with her brother Carl E. Lanning.
She graduated from Fort Lauderdale High school and went on to work alongside her mother as a secretary for Designed Traffic Installations. She would other jobs but the job she loved most was being a mother.
Judy was a loving wife to Richard W. Martin who preceded her in death. They both truly loved and supported one another. They loved to go on trips in the RV to new and exciting places. Which is where they met new friends and traveled with old friends just loving seeing and learning about different areas of the country. They would later share such love with their children and grandchildren opening their eyes to the beauty all around them.
Judy had three children: Deborah, Christina and Bonnie from a previous marriage. She always tried to offer guidance, laughter and love. She truly loved all her children and their families. She tried to make each feel special and loved.
Judy had many passions in life including play cards, Yahtzee and scrabble just to name a few. She loved to sew and make crafts and make new things for the grandchildren. When she was able, she loved to meet with her friends and go out to lunch. She would also love to go on day and overnight trips with the SMARTS group. Judy volunteered at Hospice and helped to deliver Meals on Wheels. Judy was also known for her wit and her ability to make others smile and laugh.
Judy is preceded in death by her loving husband Richard W. Martin and her parents Herbert and Edna Lanning and brother Carl E. Lanning.
