

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Deborah, his sons Kenny, Philip (Melanie), Cameron, Charles, and Michael (Christina), as well as his step-daughters Leslie Anna and Dewy Willey Powell, his 14 grandchildren and a great granddaughter. He is predeceased by his wife Elena DeRosa Cary and his siblings, Margot Brangi and John Cary.
Ken was born in Norwalk, Ct. in 1938. In 1966 he followed his father’s footsteps in the PVC compounding industry, starting Cary Chemicals in Edison, New Jersey, which later merged with Synergistics Industries, a Canadian-based company. During his 56 years in the industry Ken established a reputation as a respected leader and highly successful compounder. He retired from Synergistics in 1995, and moved from his home in Rumson, New Jersey to Florida. In 1999 he returned to the PVC industry, and started Cary Compounds, LLC, another PVC compounding operation in New Jersey,. He retired from Cary Compounds in March , 2021.
Ken was a devoted husband and father. He loved his family, partying with his friends from the Stuart Corinthian Yacht Club, of which he is a Past Commodore, fishing, boating, his dogs, playing his Johnny Smith guitar, his sports cars, and a good drink on his verandah or in the cockpit of his boat at sunset. He was larger than life to many, and his sense of humor was well-known. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
As per his wishes Ken will be cremated and there will be no funeral service.
