

Born on March 11, 1942 in Greifswald, Germany Klaus lived a full and vibrant life. He was a devoted husband to Wilma, and a proud father to son Darrell (Cricket), and daughters Sonia Semans (Chris) and Nicole Schinske (Gerald), and loving grandfather to 7 grandchildren.
Klaus received his Bachelor’s of art degree from the University of Alabama. He worked for NASA as a graphic designer before he went to work at Pratt and Whitney for 23 years as a graphic designer. He designed logos, posters, and manuals for the company.
Klaus found joy in the simple pleasures in life. He had a passion for painting and was very talented. After 23 years with Pratt and Whitney Klaus became a full time, well known artist. He did shows from Key West all the way up to Virginia. He captured scenes that reflected his appreciation for nautical and tropical surroundings that included wildlife, fishing, boating and watering holes. His most cherished places to visit were The Lake House, The Florida Keys, and Green Turtle. He enjoyed fishing wherever there was water.
He will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved him.
