Larry James Rearick

Born in Tarentum, PA, Larry had previously lived in Sterling, Virginia for 30 years, prior to moving to Port St. Lucie, FL and then finally settling in Stuart, Florida about 20 years ago.

Larry was a proud veteran of the United States Army and was the past Commander of the American Legion Harold Johns Post 62. He worked for GC Murphy as Assistant Manager and managed Ace Hardware in Pennsylvania. In Virginia he was manager and estimator for Arlington Woodworking. Prior to retirement, he was a woodworker and loved to coach little league. He loved Jimmy Buffett concerts, darts, football, baseball and NASCAR.

He is survived by the love of his life, Shirley Rearick. On July 2nd, Larry and Shirley shared their 60th wedding anniversary, even though they had been together for years prior. Larry had 2 sisters that preceded him in death, Loretta Huth of Freeport, PA and Sindy Croyle of Smithsburg, MD. His brother Lee Rearick lives in Frederick, Maryland and his sister Leslie Spaniel and brother-in-law Richard Spaniel reside in Markle, PA. He is also survived by sisters-in-law Barbara Wojton and Carlen Vasbinder of Stuart, Florida along with many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews he so loved. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him.

A Celebration of Larry’s Life will be held on Saturday, September 26th, 4PM at the American Legion Harold Johns Post 62, 2000 SE Fischer Street, Stuart, FL 34997
