Accomplished baker, cook, loving wife, mother, and doting grandmother. Loved to cook for anyone and everyone, no one ever left her home without sharing a bite, a plate, or a platter of food. Lilia completed her mission on earth on September 20, 2018. She can now reunite with her loving husband Fernando A. Colon, and beloved son-in-law Enrique Blanco, and many other family members that are waiting to celebrate with her.
Yvonne, Fernando and Gabriela Blanco will miss her, but have had the great experience of sharing her knowledge of 93 years and taking care of her for the past year while coming to reside in Palm City, FL.
She left her home in Ponce, Puerto Rico, her family, and her extended family of the Primera Iglesia Batista de Ponce, to come to Florida after Hurrcane Maria, but she visited old friends and met new ones while in Florida.
We would like to extend our gratitude to all our friends and family that have offered their love and support during this past year. Memorial service will be held at Aycock Funeral Home 505 S Federal Highway Stuart, FL 34994 on September 29, 2018 at 4:00pm.
In lieu of flowers if you can please make your contribution to Hospice Treasure Health it would be appreciated.
Tata: Te queremos mucho y no te olvidaremos
Yvonne, Fernando, Gabriela (Reef y Tony)
