

Lorelei Lynn Gonzalez-Bartko, age 54 went to be with the Lord on October 30, 2022, after many years of bravery fighting Multiple Sclerosis. She was surrounded by her beloved family in Palm City, Florida.
She was born in Suffern, New York and grew up in Monroe, New York where she had many wonderful memories with her siblings and friends. Lorelei attended Monroe-Woodbury High School in New York. After a short period in Japan with her first husband, she returned to Cornwall, NY. It was not long thereafter she became a single parent raising 5 young children. She was an exceptionally strong and devoted mother and filled her children with memorable traditions, values, and devoted love.
In 2002, she met Paul Bartko, also a single parent, where they fell in love, becoming soul mates. In 2005, Paul and Lorelei married, and the family grew to 9. In 2011 the entire family moved, from the “Big House” in Cornwall, NY to Jupiter, Florida and eventually Palm City, Florida.
Lorelei is survived by her mother, Lucy Nash, spouse, Paul Bartko, seven children Gregory, Daniel, Garrett, Rebecca, Taylor, Emily and Dilan, siblings Arlene Edlin, Lisa Thayer, Walter Edlin and Veronica Frear, and three grandchildren. She is also survived by her pets Ziggy and Kiwi. Lorelei joins the Lord with her sister, Kathi McAvey, who passed away in 2021.
Lorelei’s many wonderful qualities of values, love, wisdom, faith, integrity and so much more was immediately felt the instant you met her. She was an exceptionally beautiful person – inside and outside.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Orange County, New York area early 2023, after the holidays. The exact date and location to be determined and notifications will be sent out and updated at this obituary site.
