

She was born on September 15, 1929, in Barberton, Ohio, the daughter of William and Estella Bowers.
She served the Lord from her childhood and was active in the youth and music departments of the Barberton Wesleyan Methodist Church. She served a short time in music evangelism. She attempted twice to attend Bible College to study music. Her first attempt failed when she was needed at home to help care for an ill parent. She later was able to attend one semester at Owosso Bible College and served as secretary to the College president while she studied music. She had to return home to care for a parent.
She married Roscoe Wilson on April 3, 1953, and served with him in Christian ministry as he served as pastor for churches in Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. In her later years she attended the Hobe Sound Bible Church.
She encouraged the family’s moving to Hobe Sound in 1970 to place her children in Hobe Sound Bible Academy and College. She found employment and faithfully worked to make the transition a successful one. She remained a supporter of Hobe Sound Bible College throughout the years.
She was proficient in typing and shorthand and had employment waiting for her when she graduated from high school at midterm of her senior year. Through her employment experiences she worked for chief engineers, a corporate attorney, and a director of a Federal ESEA program. She got her Florida real estate sales license while working for a realtor in Jupiter, FL. She finally retired as secretary of Kenley Elementary school in Tampa, FL, after working there for nineteen years.
She is survived by her husband, Roscoe, and two children: Kenneth, (Donna) of Augusta, GA, and Rebecca, (Shawn) of Stuart, FL, nine grandchildren and six greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by all her siblings and her daughter, Sandra.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at the Hobe Sound Bible Church on Monday, March 9, at 1:00 p.m. Visitation will take place at the church for one hour before the service.
Interment will be in Fernhill Memorial Gardens in Stuart, FL.
