Born in Ridgefield, New Jersey, she was a previous resident of Guilderland, New York, before moving to Hobe Sound 20 years ago.
Prior to retirement, Mrs. Ruby-Straw was employed by the State of New York, Soil Mechanics Bureau as a secretary in Albany, New York.
She is survived by her husband, Irving H. Straw; her four sons, Richard of Voorheesville, NY; Thomas of Ballston Lake, NY; John of New Baltimore, NY; and James of North Palm Beach, FL; one step-son, Clifford of Ashland, MA, seven grandchildren, Jeffrey, David, Danielle, Karen, Melissa, Deanna, and Kimberly; and three great grandchildren, Ella, Joseph, and Luca.
Mrs. Ruby-Straw is predeceased by her first husband, John G. Ruby; son, Kenneth, and her granddaughter, Michelle.
