Martin T. (Terry) Siebrasse is survived by his devoted wife of 47 years, Marilyn J. Siebrasse, his three daughters Terri Lynn Bulejski of St. Louis, MO, Keri Ann Siebrasse of Aliso Viejo, CA, Jessica Marie Tedrick (Taylor) of Columbus, OH, three grandsons, Tanner (Jessica) Bulejski, Avery Siebrasse, Ayden Hall and his brother David (Janet) Siebrasse of Quincy, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents Albert and Elizabeth (Betty) Siebrasse and his sister Patricia (Siebrasse) Hollyman.
After graduating from Quincy High School in Quincy, IL in 1963 he served in the United States Marine Corps from 1963 to 1967 and earned several medals for his service in Vietnam. He worked for many years as a Residential Real Estate Agent in Cincinnati, OH where he specialized in new home construction receiving many awards for outstanding sales achievements.
After retiring to Stuart, FL in 2006 he enjoyed playing golf several times a week and once shot a hole-in-one at The Florida Club. He also frequently vacationed in North Carolina where he and his wife were members of The Peninsula Yacht Club on Lake Norman. Some of his wife’s favorite memories of him surround their common love of boating on the Ohio River, Lake Norman and the St. Lucie River. She recalls one scary time when a wave got the better of him filling the entire front of an open bow boat with water but he somehow managed to keep that boat from sinking.
Other fond family memories include…
Terry and I were at the trampoline park in Quincy, he’d recently gotten his driver license and mom made him take me along. He was showing off doing backflips for some girls watching. He had on a pink shirt, orange pants and a skinny alligator belt. On his last flip, he ripped out the entire seat of his pants. He hollered “Get in the car and don’t tell anyone”. But everyone already saw it! We laughed about it later in life, but it wasn’t funny to him that day! – David
My dad was getting frustrated teaching me how to drive, Terry took me out driving several times and was calm, funny and easygoing. I also loved to play games with him because it was fun to tease him that he was cheating and he said “No I’m not”, I would say “Yes, you are”, and we all laughed. Terry also had a natural knack for connecting with kids and understanding them. –Michelle
Dad always sang Elvis to me or with me, and we still sang it and listened to it while he was sick. Dad used to iron for other people in the military to make extra money. When I was a flight attendant and would stay with Dad and Marilyn on layovers in Ohio I always laughed that it was the best my uniform shirts ever looked because they had the military crease and starch! He was always laughing and ready with a silly face. –Terri Lynn
I will always remember driving around with my Dad and singing along to the oldies station. Anytime a song he liked would come on he would do his goofy Dad dance, which always made me smile. We would go to the driving range and go putt-putting, where many times I was told “Keep your eye on the ball”, good advice for golf and life in general. He was always helping me and teaching me in small ways that he may not have realized. I would keep him company sometimes while he worked on things around the house and through that I was able to learn a lot and become independent. –Jessica
When I was young, Dad and I would play catch together and he never minded my enthusiasm for catching frogs in the backyard. He was always a goofball, and I’m happy I inherited that trait. The best piece of advice he gave me was “Stop crying and take action” – I can still hear his voice say it today when I face obstacles. From Disney World family trips, learning to golf, playing with the grandkids, blowing bubbles and playing cards, Bob Evans breakfasts, driving in the Jaguar, to last minute visits as he and Marilyn were “passing through”, he was there with a smile and laughs for all. –Keri
A Visitation will be on Monday, April 8th, 2024 from 11AM to 1PM at Aycock Young and Prill Funeral Home in Stuart, FL immediately followed by a military honors graveside service at Fernhill Memorial Gardens in Stuart, FL.
