It is with deepest sorrow that we announce that Patrick James Hultgren, our most beloved son, brother, family member, and friend, passed away unexpectedly in his home on February 28th, 2019.

He grew up surrounded by a loving family and is survived by his mother, Kim Davis and stepfather Paul Davis of Jensen Beach; his Father, James Hultgren of Brookfield, CT; his sister, Kiely Hultgren of Hartford, CT; his sister, Jaime Burt of Quincy, MA; and his beloved childhood cat, Nina. He also leaves behind a number of cousins, aunts and uncles, his paternal grandmother, and maternal grandfather.

Those who knew Patrick, even for a short time, would say that he was most himself when he was with his friends and family. Contented by simple pleasures, Patrick loved a drive in the Jeep along the coast - top down, sun blazing, and wind whipping; dancing to music on the back porch with his Juul in hand; and longboarding with friends in Indian Riverside Park.

Bringing eclectic music and song with him wherever he went, he was known by some as "Juke Box". Everyone knew him, however, for his easy-going attitude and how happy he was when he was around his friends and family.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Humane Society of Treasure Coast to honor Patrick's love for animals.

Friends and family will be received from 3-6 PM at the Aycock Funeral Home, which is located at 505 SW Federal Highway in Stuart, FL. The celebration of Patrick's life will be followed by a memorial service at the funeral home.

Patrick will forever be missed and remembered."

I was with Patrick during his middle school years as his principal. Patrick was a friend to classmates who needed a friend. He was generous, outgoing and possessed a wonderful personality. Looking back, I do not remember Patrick ever NOT smiling: he had an incredible disposition.
Honesty and integrity were evident in him even at those pre and early adolescent years. I enjoyed working with him: he had a contagious smile and laugh!
My sympathy goes out to his family. Patrick will be missed.
May he rest in peace.

To the Hultgren and Davis families-
I was one of Patrick's 6th grade teachers in Windsor Locks. I can remember his contagious giggle vividly from when he was in my classroom all those years ago. On behalf of his former teachers in CT, we are so sorry to hear about his passing and your loss. Your families are in our thoughts and prayers.

You were always there for me, through everything. This all still doesn’t feel real. I hope you’re happy and at peace.. I will think of you everyday forever and always. You have touched so many hearts and I hope you see that . I will cherish all of our memories and cherish the few pictures I have with you. Not a day goes by that I don’t think of you. The thought of you being gone still dumbfounds me & it still doesn’t feel real. My thoughts, prayers, and love go out to his family & anyone who had the opportunity to know this beautiful man. He was an indescribable person with a personality that lit up any room he was in. Pat was something different to every person. To me he was a very close friend & a significant other. All the countless hours we spent together is truly memorable and I wouldn’t trade any of it for anything in this world. You truly captured my heart, I loved you then, I love you now, and I will always love you. The good times are the ones I want to celebrate. There was so much to be said & I know your up there listening to me & everyone who is impacted by your passing. You were loved beyond belief. I hope they are treating you good up there & I hope you can rest peacefully. Hoping you hear all my prayers & thoughts. RIP Pat.

I still can’t believe I saw you the day before you left all of us...it still breaks my heart and i don’t know if I’ll ever be out of shock...you had a good heart and a good soul. You didnt deserve to leave us so soon. Prayers go out to his family! I know these are hard times and I just want to send peace and strength to all of you! You all are in our thoughts and prayers everyday. I won’t ever forget the day you all moved here and he started to go to Adult Ed! He was the coolest person I have ever met there. I remember we would skip school To get mc Donald’s or get high. 😂 we have a lot more memories that I will keep close to my heart forever. R.IP.
