He is survived by his wife Judith. He was predeceased by his daughter, Gwen Mc Fadden who passed away from cancer in 2023. He has three step children, Michael, Wayne and Glenn Behrsin. He also has two grandchildren, Heather Barrett, Eric Mc Fadden and three step grandchildren, Taylor, Brooke and Blake Behrsin. He leaves behind two sisters, Elizabeth Gilbert from Point Pleasant New Jersey and Berta Garino from Bradenton, Florida. He leaves behind many nieces and nephews.
After retirement from Bell Labs, Richard and wife Judith moved to Hobe Sound, Florida.
Richard was a veteran of the US Airforce, and went on to become a Research Engineer at Bell Labs in New Jersey. He accomplished many wonderful things such as master craftsman, making and designing large and small projects, master gardener and landscape design. He was also an artist, surfer and musician.
Richard was outgoing and social. He was loved by all and will be missed by many.
