Robert, I already wrote you but a few days ago I met Piero.. you certainly remember him. He recall me of your nice way of walking and the fact that Norbert at that time in Bologna was saying you were like Charly.. and we were all smiling together .. I thought that was nice to remember with you .

My heartfelt condolences on the sudden passing of your beloved husband and father.  I met Robert when he first started working at the Netherlands Chamber of Commerce in New York in the early eighties.  I worked at the Consulate General of New York and we shared the 11th floor.  We had a lot of contact with the Chamber and I remember when Robert came in, he was a breath of fresh air, he was full of energy and new ideas and I remember when he started with non-aerosol dispensers.  He had such enthusiasm and drive, it was contagious.  I'm not surprised at the course his professional life has taken.  I wish you strength and courage to face life without his presence and I hope your precious memories will sustain you.

It was very hard to say goodbye tonight to a good friend and colleague who was taken way too soon.  Robert Brands you were an amazing leader to all of us and a true friend as well.   I am so proud and honored to have worked beside you for those years at Airspray.  My heart goes out to Jan, Alex and Eric during this difficult time.  They will get through this because of your spirit and grace you have bestowed upon them.  You will be greatly missed. Rest in peace my friend.

Dear Robert, I would have never imaged to read about your departure ..that evening at 11 pm when I looked  at my  messages and I got the one giving the notice .. I' m still shocked and I do not have probably the right words to express how I feel about it.. I wil miss you all along my daily life ..you have been my boss, my mentor and also a very good friend . You always pushed me and trust me and give me  a lot of assurance in what I was doing and what I could do . I will never forget all that .

It was a shock to hear that Robert deceased so suddenly. I remember Robert as a very friendly colleague and a person with a lot of drive. Robert is the man who made Airspray big in the US. With his big enthusiasm he opened the doors of businesses. I have precious Memories of moments with Robert during my visit to America. I would like to thank Robert for everything he did for Airspray and Rexam. This has been the basis for the company where I work for 31 years. Rest in peace Robert we will never forget you.

I have only known Robert for a couple years, and met through our mutual interest in innovation management. I considered him my mentor and friend as I work to establish my consulting business. I will miss him and his advice, and I am so saddened by his passing. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

We will miss Robert dearly. His sudden passing will be very hard to process. Ingrid and I will miss him as a dear friend. And I know that many people around the world are thinking of Robert these days and will also miss him greatly.

This is a very silent moment the periode to come.

Sometimes a friend met later in life is the best kind.  Robert was one of those. Starting as a client 9 years ago, and immediately becoming friend, I've truly admired how he approached his personal and professional life.  Though as committed and capable as anyone I know in business, his obvious passion was family.  Our periodic lunch meetings had business mixed in, but mostly consisted of family updates where he really beamed.  My deepest condolences to Janice, Alex, Eric and the rest of the Brands family. Robert's genuine caring and enthusiasm for people and life will never, ever be forgotten.

I still find it hard to believe what happened. Just 3 weeks ago we saw each other, and as always, you were full of energy and ideas. It's been an incredible 10 years working for you and I will always have very fond memories of the visits you made to Asia as well as the exhibitions we had every year in Italy. Thank you for having believed in me from the start and for giving me the opportunity to work for you. It's been an amazing time. I will never forget you. I herewith wish your family strength in this difficult time.
