Ruth was married to Dewey F. Edwards of Eagle Grove, Iowa for 45 years until his passing in March of 2004. They moved to Largo, Florida in 1972 and Ruth has lived in Stuart, FL since 2009. She attended Wittenberg College in Ohio and worked as a secretary at Wright Patterson AFB and the the FAA in Washington DC. She enjoyed traveling, playing cards, and dancing the jitterbug.
She is survived by her only son, Mike, his wife Janet, and her four wonderful grandchildren, Travis, Cole, Jazlyn, and Sandy, all from Stuart; and her nephew, Dr. Alan Edwards of Pittsburgh, PA.
She will be buried along side her husband at Arlington National Cemetery in Washington DC.
