Born on March 29, 1972, to Martha Castle and David Martin in the United Kingdom, Terry spent his early childhood in Wales before moving with his mother to Miami, Florida. The family later settled in Gainesville, where Terry spent his teenage years and welcomed his little sister, Elizabeth. Their mother shared with them a lifelong love of music, creating treasured memories that included seeing concerts and even meeting some incredible musicians—experiences they would talk about for years. No matter where life took them—from Wales to Florida—music was always something that brought their family together.
At the age of 20, Terry returned to Wales for several years, where his love of soccer grew even stronger. He remained a devoted supporter of Arsenal Football Club and Cardiff City Football Club throughout his life. In his early twenties, he returned to Florida and made Stuart his home, where he spent much of his adult life surrounded by family, lifelong friends, and the community he loved.
Throughout his life, Terry worked in hospitality, landscaping, customer service, and even owned his own landscaping business, T's Trees, before finding the career that truly suited him as a tow truck driver. For more than a decade, he proudly served the Florida towing community. He spent many of those years with All Hooked Up Towing, where he earned the respect of his coworkers through his strong work ethic, dependability, and willingness to help anyone in need. Following the loss of his mother, Terry spent time living in New Orleans and later Ocala before returning home to Stuart and the towing community he loved.
Terry had a lifelong passion for music, sports, cars, and spending time with family and friends. In his younger years, especially around Gainesville, he became known for his booming car stereos and love of deep bass—if Terry was coming down the road, chances are you heard him before you saw him. He was a devoted Florida Gators and Tampa Bay Buccaneers fan, loved golf, appreciated a great pair of Nikes, enjoyed customizing his vehicles, and never lost his love for soccer. He also had a special place in his heart for animals, especially his beloved cat, Tow.
More than anything, Terry will be remembered for his unmistakable grin, quick wit, and playful sense of humor. If Terry cared about you, chances are he gave you a hard time—with that unmistakable grin on his face. He loved making people laugh, teasing his little sister, and filling every room with laughter. Beneath that mischievous smile was a loyal, generous, and caring man who loved deeply and was loved by many.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents, Martha Castle and David Martin, along with many beloved grandparents, relatives, cherished pets, and dear friends. Though our family has experienced more loss than anyone should, we find comfort in believing Terry has been reunited with those he loved and missed so dearly.
He is lovingly survived by his son, Jordan Lemire, and Jordan's fiancée, Chavi; his sister, Elizabeth Gonzalez; his stepmother, Pat Martin; his half-brother, Devin Martin; his aunts, cousins, extended family, many dear friends, his coworkers throughout the Florida towing community, and his beloved cat, Tow.
A Celebration of Terry's Life will be held on Sunday, July 26, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Two George's Restaurant in Port Salerno, Florida. Family and friends are invited to gather to share stories, laugh, remember Terry, and maybe even turn the music up a little louder in his honor as they celebrate a life that brought joy to so many.
Though Terry's life was cut far too soon, his laughter, music, kindness, and unforgettable smile will live on forever in the hearts of those who loved him.
Until we meet again, keep the music loud, cheer on the Gators and the Bucs, and save us a seat. We know you're smiling that familiar grin, reunited with those you love. ❤️
